WCA Global open SEA Nov.10 Recap,The nightmare of dreadsteed warlock

WCA Global open (Japan, Korea and Southeast Asia) hearthstone matches On Nov.10th, RenieHouR and Kranich were both defeated, a dark horse is coming up.RenieHouR made too many mistakes,and Kranich was defeated with no mercy by Aaron’s dreadsteed warlock.
The first game was Aaron’s patron warrior against Kranich’s midrange hunter,very classic matchup,although warsong commander got nerfed, but patron warrior is still an all-purpose deck.
The early game was very standard,but in the mid game,Aaron made a mistake,he wasted a 3/3 Grim Patron while he tried to broke the freezing trap,thus he was not able to use the whirlwind combo.But fortunately Aaron was lucky,he got Grom Hellscream in the 8 costing round,and used the death’s bite to get through peacefully, Grom Hellscream in the next round hit opponent right in his face and ended the first game .
The second game was the druid mirror battle,but the deck of both sides were not the same,Aaron used the classic taunt druid,Kranich used the popular midrange druid. Face of Aaron’s strange deck, Kranich must play more actively.
They used the same strategy at the beginning, but Aaron got a stronger minion from the deathrattle of his piloted shredder,with this advantage,Aaron kept ahead on the number of cards he had in hand,kept squeezing his enemy.That forced Kranich to use the force of nature to solve the druid of the claw,instead of comprising an otk chance.We all know that when the late game comes,taunt druid is much better than midrange druid, after Aaron summoned Kel’Thuzad, Kranich couldn’t do anything,he surrendered.Aaron led with 2-0.
In the third game,Aaron used his dreadsteed warlock against Krarnich’s midrange hunter. Aaron was suppressed in the early game,lost many HP,although dreadsteed warlock tried to reverse the disadvantage in mid game,but his hp was too low to stop opponent’s attack. Kranich finally won a game.
In the fourth game, Aaron still trusted in his dreadsteed warlock,Kranich chose his midrange druid to play.Still,warlock was suppressed by his opponent since early game, druid built huge advantage and then beat warlock with no mercy, dreadsteed warlock lost two games in a row.
In the final game,also the third game of dreadsteed warlock,as long as Kranich beat dreadsteed warlock again,he can take off from his close battle.Kranich had enough time to finish layout because his last cards are armor warrior,this battle was destined to become a protracted war.
Then the dreadsteed warlock finished layout slowly, the game became a seesaw battle. Kranich almost fold to 30 armor, but face of the vast number of dreadsteed that he couldn’t build advantage,under the huge pressure,Kranich seemed particularly passive. Both sides have been dragged to fatigue,warrior bet all on a single throw,wanted to execute the opponent in one round,but warlock used siphon soul on his own minion to save himself,warrior’s Justicar Trueheart came too late to hold the game.Ultimately Kranich lost and it’s a huge upset.
On November 12th, WCA2015 Global open (Japan, Korea and Southeast Asia)will continue,the semi-final of hearthstone will be started first, and the semi-finals of dota2 will follow after!Please keep following WCA!
