WCA 2015 SEA & JP & KR War3 Final Recap

WCA2015 Warcraft 3 professional qualifiers (South Asia Region)has ended on October 17,two players came through many difficult battles, Reprisal and LawLiet, finally meet each other in the final.Let's review this classic set between NE and Human.

Since Reprisal came from the winner bracket,so he automatically got 1 point first. In the first game, LawLiet started with warden, harassed Archmage and second gold mine in the early game, forced the opponent not reach the tier2 technology in time, earning enough respite for NE. In the last tower defense, the warden had experience ahead,and reached level 6 first,the human army couldn’t resist the opponent's attack, after warden destroyed everything, LawLiet won the first game.

In the second game, LawLiet started with demon hunter,and although the demon hunter is more stable, but he can’t give enough pressure after human expanded the second gold mine,demon hunter’s harassment is obviously insufficient.

Even so, LawLiet still got the advantage in early game.His micro mechanics are perfect, but in the mid game, the advantages of the human force started to be gradually stronger,and the demon hunter’s harassment cannot compare to warden, so LawLiet always avoided fights. Used Demon Hunter as a tank, contained the opponent in his own base to stall for more time,after Druid of the claw were sommoned,human could not defense NE’s attack anymore. LawLiet won again,total score came to 2:1.

In the third game,LawLiet started with demon hunter again,but unfortunately, the first two items he got from creeps were not that good for the demon hunter.Then both two sides played very stably in early game.At the first fight, LawLiet seized Reprisal’s fault,and killed Naga,gained a big advantage for himself.

But human still came to their power spike anyway,NE had to hang on this hard time to win.The tier 2 human is extremely strong,LawLiet tried to kill Naga，but failed. And he lost all his Dryad,his mobile force was lost.The remaining army was too heavy to fight with Human’s almighty force,finally Reprisal cameback wonderfully, and the score came to 2:2.

In the fourth game, Human didn’t want come to late game against NE,and NE changed his strategy,summoned warden again.At the beginning,human handled very well,his micro mechanics kept his Archmages alive,destructed LawLiet’s plan.

After that,human found out NE’s second gold mine,their troops rushed to the gold mine.NE was in a bad situation,it forced them open another gold mine,unfortunately, Reprisal found it again,but this time, NE saved the mine, which means they still had a chance.

In the Tier 3 technology decisive battle between the two,they both had a chance to win.But,because NE expanded their gold mine very late,so they were not very ready for the final battle.Although warden was pretty strong,NE still failed.
